Examination and Certification Information

The PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Transition examination is a one-hour examination that evaluates the candidate’s knowledge across the following areas:
- Differences between the main clauses of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022
- Differences between the Annex A controls of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022
Transition examinations are generally multiple-choice and closed-book. The exact examination format and available languages are determined by PECB and can be reviewed when scheduling the exam.
After successfully passing the examination, you can apply for the:

No previous professional experience or ISMS project experience is required for this credential.
Candidates must:
- Pass the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Transition examination
- Submit the certification application through myPECB
- Agree to follow the PECB Code of Ethics
The credential demonstrates that the certificate holder has current knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and understands how to update an ISMS from the 2013 edition to the 2022 edition.
