Examination and Certificate Information

The PECB ISO 9001 Foundation examination is a multiple-choice, closed-book examination. Candidates are not permitted to use training materials, standards, personal notes, or other reference materials during the exam.
The exact examination format, duration, available languages, and scheduling options are determined by PECB and should be reviewed through the PECB platform when scheduling the examination.
Certificate Requirements
After successfully completing the course and passing the examination, you can apply for the:
PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation
This is an entry-level certificate demonstrating that the holder has a general understanding of quality management concepts and ISO 9001 requirements for a Quality Management System.
No previous professional experience, management system audit experience, or QMS project experience is required.
Candidates must:
- Complete the PECB ISO 9001 Foundation training course
- Pass the PECB ISO 9001 Foundation examination
- Submit the certificate application through myPECB
- Agree to follow the PECB Code of Ethics
Once the certificate application is reviewed and approved by PECB, the certificate and applicable digital badge will become available through the candidate’s myPECB account.
Course Delivery Format
This package is fully self-paced and does not require attendance on specific dates.
Self-Study Format
The Self-Study format provides access to the official digital course materials, practical examples, exercises, and quizzes through the myPECB platform.
The Self-Study format does not include scheduled live classes or prerecorded training videos.
eLearning Format
The eLearning format includes the official digital course materials together with prerecorded training videos delivered by experienced PECB trainers.
The videos are divided into sections and subsections, allowing candidates to study each topic gradually and return to previous sections when needed.
The eLearning course is available online through the myPECB platform and can be accessed according to the candidate’s own schedule.
